City of Dublin Announces Key Management Change

Dublin City Manager Colleen Tribby has announced the appointment of Jeff Baker, Dublin's Community Development Director, to be the City's next Assistant City Manager. His appointment became effective October 11, 2024.

Baker said of his appointment, "I am honored to be selected as Assistant City Manager. I am truly excited to take on this role and continue to serve the Dublin community. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated team and creating new opportunities to enhance the quality of life for all our residents."

Baker began his career as a Planning intern for the City of Sacramento. He then joined the City of Roseville as an Assistant Planner and Associate Planner. In April 2004, he joined the City of Dublin as an Associate Planner in the Community Development Department. He worked his way up the ladder to become Planning Manager in 2009. Three years later, in 2012, Baker was named Assistant Community Development Director. In 2018, Baker was named Director of the Community Development Department. Some of his key accomplishments include establishing the creation of the Downtown Dublin Specific Plan; leading the Commercial Development Task Force to engage residents regarding undeveloped commercial properties in Dublin; leading the efforts to enhance public engagement and transparency by creating the City's Project Development webpage and enhanced public notices; overseeing the approval of entitlements for over 500 affordable housing units; updating the City' First-Time Homebuyer Loan Program; and overseeing the effort to prepare the State-certified 2023-31 Housing Element.
