Eco Golf Club Temporary Closure - Orangebrook Driving Range Closure Announced

Eco Golf Club Temporary Closure

Beginning on Thursday, July 18th, Eco Golf Club, 1451 Taft Street in Hollywood will be temporarily closed to the public through mid-September. City of Hollywood's Department of Public Utilities contractor, Lanzo Construction Company, is working on the course to clear the existing drainage canal along N. 14th Avenue between Taft Street and Scott Street. Existing drainage canal capacity has been reduced by overgrown, invasive tree roots inside the canal. Therefore, the canal needs to be cleaned and restored to the original permitted condition to allow for stormwater to be directed effectively away from homes and 14th Avenue. This short-term solution will enhance the City's resilience due to heavy rainfall and help to reduce the risk of flooding and property loss as the City works to implement the Citywide Stormwater Master Plan.

Driving Range at Orangebrook Closing on Monday, August 5th

In preparation for the start of the voter-approved General Obligation Bond Hollywood Police Department Headquarters Project, crews are mobilizing at the construction site. As such, the driving range at the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club, 400 Entrada Drive will be closed to the public as of Monday, August 5, 2024. The golf course will remain open for regular golf play.
