Police & Fire Summer Youth Academy

Want to learn about being a police officer or firefighter/paramedic? The Newton Fire Department and Newton Police Department are hosting a FREE summer youth academy.

July 29, July 30, August 1 and August 2 (no class on July 31)

9 A.M. - 11 A.M.

The academy will take place at the Newton Police Department and Newton Fire Department and is for students entering 5th through 8th grade in Fall 2024

During the four days you will learn about: physical fitness requirements, how to process a crime scene, Taser, electric motorcycle, SWAT equipment, traffic stops, search & rescue, fire extinguisher skills, and first aid.

A paper copy of the application can be picked up at the Newton Police Department.
