T.T. Minor Play Area Opens!

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is excited to announce T.T. Minor play area is open! The T.T. Minor play area,1698 E Union St, renovation provides a new play area for both younger and older children, as well as new pathway paving to ensure an accessible route to and throughout the play area.

SPR coordinated this play area project with the Greater & Greener Conference, which took place in Seattle in June 2024. Approximately 50 conference attendees joined SPR and Play Creation to help construct the new play area, which is now a vibrant community space for children and families. The two main structures of the play equipment were donated by Landscape Structures and Play Creation.

"Community engagement is at the heart of what we do at Seattle Parks and Recreation," said AP Diaz, Superintendent of Seattle Parks and Recreation. "The Greater & Greener Conference provided the perfect opportunity for professionals and volunteers to come together and create the new T.T. Minor Play Area. This project represents the power in partnerships and collective effort in creating spaces that inspire joy and connection."
