Notice of Utility Filing Petition

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on September 23, 2024, Chugach Electric Association, Inc., (CHUGACH) filed a petition seeking authorization for the creation of a regulatory asset allowing CHUGACH to accumulate and defer the interest carrying charges associated with storing natural gas and recover the costs through its Cost of Power Adjustment. CHUGACH proposes to use CHUGACH's weighted average cost of capital of 4.32 percent to calculate its interest rate for carrying costs. Docket No. U-24-032 was opened to address this matter.

This notice does not address in detail all of the items contained in the petition. The Commission may approve or impose conditions that vary from those proposed.
