River Road Closed Between Fraine Barracks Road and the Water Treatment Plant

On Monday 9/09/2024 at 8:30am, River Road will be closed between Fraine Barracks Road and the north side of the Water Treatment Plant for roadway reconstruction. The closure will be in place for approximately 3-weeks, weather permitting. Access to the river boat ramp area will be maintained from the north.

A detour will be in place. For northbound traffic the detour route will be River Road to Memorial Highway/ Front Avenue, then east to Washington Street, north on Washington Street to Divide Avenue/ Tyler Parkway, then west on Burnt Boat Drive back to River Road. For southbound traffic the detour will be River Road to Burnt Boat drive, then east to Tyler Parkway/Divide Avenue, southeast on Tyler Parkway/ Divide Avenue to Washington Street, south to Memorial Highway/ Front Avenue, and then west back to River Road.
