City Launches New Online Mapping Tool

SPOKANE VALLEY, WA-The City of Spokane Valley has launched a new website mapping application called Valley Viewer to give the community 24-hour-a-day access to information about properties in the city. This new Geographical Information System (GIS) application aims to improve customer service by providing easy access to information by entering an address or parcel number or by clicking on the map.

Valley Viewer offers a basic and an advanced interface. The basic interface is designed to provide users access to data most requested by visitors to City Hall. The advanced interface allows users to interactively engage with a broader offering of GIS datasets. Both interfaces provide property information such as zoning, school district, fire district, utility provider, water district, and Spokane County Assessor data. The basic application is responsive and can be used on a mobile device or tablet.

Valley Viewer was created and will be maintained internally by city staff, and there are no additional costs associated.
