UNIONDALE, NY- At approximately 4:40 PM ET, Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) experienced an interruption in electrical service due to a blown fuse on PSEG equipment that feeds into the hospital.

The facility's backup systems functioned properly, ensuring that all critical operations and patient services continued without interruption.

We want to assure our community that there was no impact on patient care during this brief period. Our dedicated staff responded swiftly and performed admirably, maintaining the highest standards of care throughout the incident.
