S&C Frankfurt and Hong Kong Teams Advise Foxconn in Acquisition of Distressed Auto-Kabel Group

Foxconn Interconnect Technology's subsidiary, Voltaira Group, a leading supplier of sensor, connectivity and electrification solutions, announced it will acquire Germany-based Auto-Kabel Group, an e-mobility and technology leader in automotive energy distribution and management, for €72.5 million. Auto-Kabel Group is currently undergoing restructuring as part of its insolvency proceedings.

Forming a strategic partnership between the two companies, the acquisition aims to strengthen Voltaira Group's existing electrification portfolio and broaden its customer base.

S&C has advised Foxconn in previous transactions including its acquisition of the Prettl Group (now Voltaira Group), a leading manufacturer of automotive sensor harnesses and connectivity and electrification solutions.

The S&C team advising Foxconn was led by Ching-Yang Lin in Hong Kong, York Schnorbus, Max Birke and Silke Jurczyga in Frankfurt and included Katharina Leonhardt, Max Rust, Johanna Nagel and Lucas Petry in Frankfurt and Shirley Mak and Yiwen Wang in Hong Kong.
