St. Louis Work Zones August 15-21…

ST. LOUIS - Motorists should be aware of two upcoming interstate closures over the next week.

Drivers who use southbound Interstate 55 should be aware that southbound I-55 will be closed overnight this Friday and next Friday, weather permitting.

Crews will close all lanes of southbound I-55 at Germania this Friday, August 16, starting at 11 p.m. to place concrete for the bridge deck over the River Des Peres. Drivers can exit at Germania (Exit 202B), turn right on Germania, turn left onto Morganford, take an immediate left onto Carondelet and get back onto southbound I-55. The lanes will reopen Saturday, August 17 by 8 a.m.

Secondly, motorists traveling near Interstate 270 and Interstate 64 should be aware of a ramp closure overnight August 20.

Weather permitting, crews will close the ramp between eastbound I-64 and northbound I-270 Tuesday, August 20, at 10 p.m. During the closure, crews will be shifting the ramp to the left to start work on the next portion of the project.

The ramp reopens Wednesday, August 21 at 5 a.m.

Motorists should be aware of the following ongoing closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, westbound exit to 12th/Gravois closed through the end of August.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed from Lindbergh to north of Bayless through the end of 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two northbound lanes closed from north of Bayless to Virginia through the end of 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from northbound to Loughborough and the Loughborough on-ramp to northbound I-55 closed will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Lafayette/Truman to southbound I-55 is closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Germania to northbound will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed between Lindbergh and Reavis Barracks Road through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two northbound lanes closed between Reavis Barracks Rd. and Virginia through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed from I-44 to north of Bates through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two southbound lanes closed from north of Bates to north of Weber and one southbound lane closed north of Weber to Reavis Barracks through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one southbound lane closed between I-44 and Gasconade through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two southbound lanes closed from Reavis Barracks to north of South Lindbergh through 2024.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, Riverview Dr. entrance ramp to eastbound I-270 closed and eastbound I-270 exit ramp to Riverview closed.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, southbound Riverview Dr. under I-270 closed through 2024.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, various northbound and southbound lanes closed between I-64 and Olive through late 2025.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, northbound lanes at Route 180 closed through December 2024. Traffic has been switched to southbound side of Route 67, with one lane in each direction.

  • Route N, St. Louis County, one southbound lane closed from Thoroughman Avenue to Frost Avenue through 2024.
  • Route N, St. Louis County, one northbound lane closed from Thoroughman to Robert Avenue.
  • Route N, St. Louis County, one southbound lane closed from Jean Dr. to Walnut Grove Elementary.
  • Route N, St. Louis County, one northbound lane closed from Wadsworth Dr. to Taille De Noyer Dr.

  • I-70, St. Charles County, one westbound/eastbound lane closed at Belleau Creek.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, lane shifts on eastbound I-70 at Spencer Creek through Aug. 2.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, one lane closed on the ramp from T.R. Hughes to eastbound through late September 2024.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, Fairgrounds/Convention Center Boulevard on ramp to westbound I-70 closed until mid-November. Traffic is diverted to Route 94 to access westbound I-70.
  • Route 79, St. Charles County, all northbound and southbound lanes closed over I-70.
  • Route 79, St. Charles County, one lane closed from North Service Rd to Norfolk Railroad bridge; and one southbound lane closed over Norfolk Railroad bridge.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, closed at the intersection of I-67 and from I-67 to Herky Horine Rd.
  • I-55, Jefferson County, three left turn lanes closed at McNutt under the interstate through mid-October 2024. Traffic will move to the outside lanes. Drivers will be able to make a left turn onto the interstate ramps.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, one lane closed southbound from Meramec Heights to Shady Valley.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, one northbound lane closed from Schenk Road to Route 141.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, old Route 21 (Schenk Road) exit closed over new Route 21.
  • Route 67, Jefferson County, one lane closed southbound at I-55 through 2024.
  • Route CC, Franklin County, one lane closed over Little Creek.
  • Route Y, Franklin County, Cedar Creek bridge is closed until November 2024.
