Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package Brings Back Classic Color

The anniversary of a car as critical as the Ford Mustang is one that deserves a little fanfare, and even a special edition. Ford hasn't been letting Mustang faithful down on that front, and after debuting the 60th Anniversary Package earlier this year, they continue to roll out additional updates and enticements for anyone seeking a modern 'Stang with retro flair. The latest comes in the form of a vintage hue, and if you like it as much as we do, you'd better act fast.

Brittany Blue joins Wimbledon White, Race Red, and Vapor Blue as colors available on the Mustang 60th Anniversary Package, of which just 1,965 units will be built. While the other colors can be had on coupes or convertibles and with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, Brittany Blue examples will come exclusively as a Fastback body and feature 10-speed automatic transmissions, the 401A package (a handful of standard features include 12″ touchscreen, accent color stitching, and premium floor mats), Active-Valve Performance Exhaust, Brembo brakes, 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, 12-speaker B&O sound system, and Space Gray upholstery.

Brittany Blue was first offered on the pony car in 1967 and has been used across a few FoMoCo models over the last six decades.

Regardless of where else it might have been found in the past, if you want it on your anniversary Mustang, you've got a very short window of opportunity. Interested buyers can go to Ford.com and register their interest in purchasing a 60th Anniversary Edition Mustang for the next three days (August 16-19). Those lucky enough to be selected to purchase the $65,245 special edition will be notified via email by August 21 and must select the dealer for their order within seven days.
