Human Rights Day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On December 3, 2024, on the occasion of Human Rights Day an event was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of human rights were presented.

The Deputy Minister Farrukh Sharifzoda noted that after gaining independence as a law-based and democratic state, Tajikistan annually celebrates December 10th as "Human Rights Day" in solidarity with the international community. As a party of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and a full member of the United Nations, the Republic of Tajikistan has created a solid basis for developing cooperation in ensuring human rights with UN institutions.

At the event, the Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe, Ambassador Willy Kempel, and a representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan made presentations on the achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of human rights.
