Phantasma in The Ramble to close Weekend Starts series

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The City of Fayetteville is excited to announce the return of Phantasma in The Ramble to close out its 2024 Weekend Starts series.

The silent disco and laser light show that illuminates the Fay Jones Woods in the Lower Ramble will be held 7-10 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26. The event is being held in partnership with the Downtown Fayetteville Coalition.

While the light show is free and open to the public, those wishing to participate are strongly encouraged to make reservations in advance. To learn more and reserve a time, visit the Eventbrite page.

"Phantasma promises to be an unforgettable way to close out the season and welcome fall in Fayetteville," said Joanna Sheehan Bell, arts and culture director.

Weekend Starts (WEST) is held 5-7 p.m. Fridays in the Lower Ramble. It is an art-infused series of "compact creativity festivals" put on by the City's Arts and Culture Division to kick off the weekend with a burst of creativity and fun.

WEST features live musical performances curated by the University of Arkansas Department of Music, as well as artistic collaborations with Mount Sequoyah Creative Spaces and the Community Creative Center.

Upcoming musical acts leading up to the season finale include:

  • Squash Garden (Sept. 20)
  • Los Veleros (Sept. 27)
  • Coloring 12 (Oct. 4)

Weekend Starts is free and open to the public; all ages are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the performances and stay awhile. Arriving via the Razorback Greenway is encouraged, but parking is available at the Fayetteville Public Library's south surface parking lot, as well as on-street parking along West Ave.

Also, the park is located within Fayetteville's Outdoor Refreshment Area (ORA), allowing participants to stop by participating establishments within the designated zone and pick up their favorite to-go beverages to enjoy during the event. However, participants must adhere to the guidelines set forth by the ORA.
