Southfield Veterans Commission looks to recognize and honor veterans at Veterans Day Ceremony Friday, November 8

The Southfield Veterans Commission would like to honor any residents of Southfield or Lathrup Village who have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces that would like to be recognized at this year's Veterans Day Ceremony taking place on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Council Chambers, 26000 Evergreen Road.

The Commission aims to recognize veterans from both Southfield and Lathrup Village to honor their service and sacrifice to our nation. "The Veterans Day Ceremony is a significant event for our community," stated Dr. Rodney Caruthers, Chairperson of the Southfield Veterans Commission. "It's a time for us to come together and show our gratitude to all those who have risked their lives protecting our freedoms. We encourage everyone to join us in honoring these heroes."

Any veteran who would like to be recognized at the ceremony is requested to email [email protected] with their name, branch of service, rank and any other service details or accolades that they would like included. All veteran tribute recognitions received by Monday, November 4, 2024 will be included during the program.

The Southfield Veterans Commission invites all community members to attend this special event and participate in recognizing the valor and dedication of our veterans. The Southfield Veterans Commission is committed to supporting and advocating for veterans in the Southfield and Lathrup Village communities. Through various programs and events, the Commission strives to honor the service and sacrifice of military personnel and provide resources to veterans and their families.
