Join the debate on the potential and risks of artificial intelligence in Danish research and innovation.
Danish research and innovation will increase the quality, scope and relevance of Denmark's investments in research and innovation through the use of artificial intelligence. But the technology can also lead to extensive changes in the framework conditions for research and innovation. This should be followed by ethical and security considerations, as well as considerations regarding how Danish environments seize the new opportunities.
The Danish Council for Research and Innovation Policy (DFIR) has recently commissioned a report on cases, potentials and risks of the use of generative AI (genAI) in research and innovation as well as researchers' use of genAI and assessment of the research ethical challenges in the five phases of the research process, namely idea generation, research design, data collection, data analysis and research dissemination.
The report indicates that while researchers see the benefits of genAI, its current usage is limited. In collaboration with Digital Research Centre Denmark (DIREC), DFIR is organizing a debate that provides an opportunity to explore barriers to enhance research capacity. In the debate we will share diverse perspectives and promote best practices for integrating genAI responsibly.
