Construction Advisory: Notice of Street Paving

This September and October, more than 1.8 miles of the City's 20 miles of roadways will be repaved. During construction, the following streets and facilities will be affected:

• 43rd St. from San Pablo Ave. to Adeline St.
• 45th St. from San Pablo Ave. to Adeline St.
• 47th St. from Salem St. to Adeline St.
• 48th St. from San Pablo Ave. to City Limits
• Salem St. from 43rd St. to 45th St. & 47th St. to 48th St.
• Essex St. from 43rd St. to 45th St.
• Doyle St. from 45th St. to Steve Dain Dr.
• Steve Dain Dr. from San Pablo Ave. to ECCL Pool Entrance
• Shellmound St. from 62nd St. to 65th St.
• Horton St. from 45th St. to 53rd St.
• Sherwin St. from Halleck St. to Hubbard St.

Construction will also add a quarter mile of new Class IV Separated Bikeways along Shellmound Street between 62nd and 65th Streets, taking a big step toward the goal of 5.6 miles of Class IV bikeways in the City's recently adopted Active Transportation Plan.

Beginning the week of September 2, the Contractor will be notifying affected residents and businesses of the upcoming construction and posting "No Parking" signage in the above areas. The notices and signage will include the specific dates and hours of construction and should be delivered/posted at least three days before the beginning of construction.
