Maryland American Water Celebrates 50 Years of the Safe Drinking Water...
Bel Air, MD - DECEMBER 16, 2024 - Maryland American Water, a subsidiary of American Water(NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., is proud to join the water industry in celebrating the 50thanniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), the landmark law that has safeguarded public health by protecting drinking water quality since its passage on December 16, 1974.
