Wonder of Woodpeckers, Potato Creek State Park

Fly to the Nature Center's Wildlife Window to not only learn to better identify our native woodpeckers with a naturalist, but also discover how these amazing creatures have evolved and adapted to diets and habitats.

Our interpretive programs are designed to entertain and enrich folks of all ages. Children under 12 must have an adult with them at programs.

Registration is not required for this program.

All our programs are free (unless otherwise noted). They are open to the public after paying the park entrance fee. ($7 in-state & $9 out-of-state)

All our Interpretive programs are listed in Eastern Time.

The Nature Center's Current Summer Hours: Open Daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET

*Note that during peak visitation times, entry into our park might be delayed. Parking lots around the Nature Center can fill quickly. The Nature Center is located approximately 10 minutes from our park's main entrance gate. Please plan accordingly.*
