Art in the Chambers Opening Reception

Orange County, FL - Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Public Art Review Board presents 'Faux Florida Fables' featuring Carl Knickerbocker's 'suburban primitive art' as seen in his over-sized entertaining and enlightening acrylic on canvas paintings.

Carl Knickerbocker was born in a small town in upstate New York, he relocated to an orange grove in Oviedo, Florida in 1970. His art career began in 1984, and it took several years of experimenting before he came up with his suburban primitive style that features a bright color palette and a bold commentary on popular culture (www.carlknickerbocker.com).

The exhibit will be on display in the Orange County Administration Center (201 S. Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801) in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers Gallery from Tuesday, September 24, 2024, to Tuesday, January 21, 2025. The Administration Center is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except for holidays.
