Frederick Police Investigate Shooting Incident

On Friday, August 9, 2024, at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to a report of a firearm discharge in the area of Wilson Place at Taney Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene. The victim was flown to Shock Trauma for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are actively investigating this incident. The Frederick Police Department is urging residents in the area to check their home security cameras for any potential evidence related to this incident.
