Troopers arrest a Rochester man for DWI after a pursuit in Roches...

On September 25, 2024, troopers from SP Rochester attempted to stop a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro on Fernwood Avenue in the city of Rochester when the vehicle failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit traversed several city streets before the suspect struck an uninvolved vehicle, a 2007 Honda CRV, at the intersection of Portland Ave and Central Park.

The driver of the suspect vehicle, Tobias J. Massey, age 25, of Rochester, NY, and passenger, Raina Bennett, age 24, of Ohio, were both taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the uninvolved vehicle, Khadedra Graham, age 34, of Rochester, NY, and a 12-year-old male, were taken to Rochester General Hospital for minor injuries.

Massey was arrested for Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd (A Misdemeanor), Driving While Intoxicated, and traffic infractions. He was processed at SP Rochester and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Rochester City Court on October 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
