Arrest made in Greenbelt Park fatal stabbing

Greenbelt, Md. - On Monday, Aug. 12, at about 9 a.m., United States Park Police officers responded to a report of a man with traumatic injuries at Greenbelt Park. Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from stab wounds. The man, Jeffery Strong, 38, of Washington, D.C., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Later that day, Ronald Brisbon, 63, also from Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with murder on federal lands. This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available for release at this time.
