Clarification of News Report

We write in connection with the article entitled "Cebu Pacific in talks to acquire AirSWIFT"" posted on philSTAR.com on July 22, 2024 which reported that:
"MANILA, Philippines - The Gokongweis and the Ayalas are in talks for yet another major deal, this time for Cebu Pacific's acquisition of boutique airline AirSWIFT from the Ayala Group's property arm Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), industry sources told The STAR.
The budget carrier's acquisition of AirSWIFT, which may be sealed in two months barring any headwinds, is seen boosting domestic tourism especially in the coastal town of El Nido in Palawan, which is famous for its white sand beaches, emerald waters and limestone cliffs.
"The deal may be closed in two months or earlier," an industry source said, adding that it is a win-win for both the Gokongwei and Ayala conglomerates.
. . . ."
Cebu Pacific (CEB) is always on the lookout for opportunities to grow and expand its network, including partnership with other parties.
We confirm that CEB is currently engaged in exploratory talks with Ayala Land Inc. but nothing definitive has been agreed upon.
CEB's track record of success means other businesses do prefer partnering with Cebu Pacific when it comes to aviation initiatives.
Should any opportunity move from a proposal to a firm business undertaking, we will make the proper disclosures. We also endeavor that whatever business proposals we carefully evaluate, we never let it become a distraction to our core business.
We hope this clarifies the above-mentioned news article.
