The Fargo Police Department Investigates Death in South Fargo

Terri Celeste, 26-year-old Fargo resident, arrested for Preventing Arrest, Theft of a Credit Card and Possession of Stolen Property

On Tuesday, August 6, at approximately 1:40 p.m., The Fargo Police Department responded to a report of a deceased individual at an apartment building in the 1300 block of Oak Manor Ave. S. Upon arrival, officers suspected that the body had been moved postmortem and initiated an investigation.

The FPD's Criminal Investigations Division was called in to assist, and after a thorough investigation, they identified a female suspect who had been in the deceased individual's apartment after his death. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Fargo resident Terri Celeste, was known to the deceased.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Celeste's home and discovered stolen property belonging to the deceased individual. Celeste was arrested for Preventing Arrest, Theft of a Credit Card and Possession of Stolen Property.

The cause of death is currently under investigation and is pending autopsy results. Preliminary findings do not indicate foul play. No further information is available at this time. The name of the deceased individual will be released 24 hours after next-of-kin notification has been completed.
