Syracuse man arrested for Cortlandville break-in

On July 15, 2024, New York State Police arrested Benny L. Curry, age 59 of Syracuse, NY for the class "D" felony of Burglary in the third degree.

After a several months long investigation, Troopers picked up Curry on an arrest warrant.

An investigation determined that on February 12, 2024, Curry forcibly entered the AT&T store on 4066 State Route 281 in the town of Cortlandville by smashing the front glass. He then entered the store and stole a cash register from within.

Curry was serving time at the Oneida County Jail for an unrelated crime and was picked up then transported to the Cortland County Jail for arraignment.
