High school students gain experience of robotics, engineering during UHV camp

Juan Garza, 17, left, and Michael Norton, 15, watch as a self-controlled robot moves around on the ground during the High School Robotics Summer Camp on July 24 at the University of Houston-Victoria. The camp, made possible through a grant from Alcoa Foundation, gave students the opportunity to learn foundational concepts of digital simulation and robotics within engineering. During the camp, students were introduced to programming languages to increase their knowledge of computer science as well.
