Severe Hit and Run Traffic Collision involving a Bicyclist NA24141dc

WHY:
On Monday, September 2, 2024, at 10:27 p.m., a 63-year-old male bicyclist fell while riding his bicycle on Hoover Street near 79th Street. As the bicyclist was attempting to get up, a sedan traveling northbound on Hoover Street struck him. The vehicle failed to stop, render aid, and remain at scene as required by law. The vehicle was last seen northbound Hoover Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the male bicyclist to a local hospital with life threating injuries. The family of the victim is asking for witnesses to come forward and assist police with the investigation a as the victim remains hospitalized.
