Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Brick Church Pike Identified

The man killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. on Brick Church Pike at Woodfolk Drive is identified as Hirsi Elmi, 43, of Nashville.

The preliminary investigation shows that Elmi was driving his Toyota Camry south on Brick Church Pike when, for reasons unknown, veered to the right, and collided with a traffic light pole. He was not wearing his seatbelt. Elmi was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.

There was no evidence of impairment at the scene.
