On September 5, 2024, members of the Auto Theft and Intelligence Units and the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Genesis Cabrera Vargas, age 29, of 74 Lexington Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses; 2) Tamper With Odometer; 3) Forgery; 4) Conspiracy; and 5) Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. Ms. Vargas was transported to Headquarters, where she was processed, and to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

On September 5, 2024, members of the Auto Theft and Intelligence Units and the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Leonaldy Lopez Del Rosario, age 32, of 640 Public Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses; 2) Tamper With Odometer; 3) Forgery; 4) Conspiracy; and 5) Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. Mr. Del Rosario was transported to Headquarters, where he was processed, and to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

On September 5, 2024, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Brandan Ryl, age 24, of 16 Bolton Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Cruelty to Animals. Mr. Ryl was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing and to Sixth District Court for arraignment. The Honorable Associate Judge Isherwood set $5,000 surety bail with special bail conditions of restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors. Mr. Ryl was held as a probation violator on original charges of Possession of Schedule I-V and Possession of a Firearm.
