The third edition of the Handbook of Special Education, which has just been published by Routledge, features the work of two Gallaudet experts. Dr. Gabriel Lomas, Director of Counseling Programs, is the lead author of the chapter titled "Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students," alongside contributors Dr. Julie Tibbitt, Director of Gallaudet University's Office for Career Success and Dr. Caroline Guardino, Professor in the department of Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum in the College of Education & Human Services at University of North Florida.
This updated chapter includes significant new considerations about deaf education, reflecting the latest advancements and research in the field. The Handbook of Special Education, edited by Dr. James M. Kauffman, Dr. Daniel P. Hallahan, and Dr. Paige Cullen Pullen, continues to be a vital resource for professionals in programs that train educators, counselors, psychologists, and advocates.
