Sixth Street Utility Work - Claremont McKenna College Improvements

The City has been working with CMC and their utility sub-contractors on a number of utility improvements coinciding with their recent campus improvements off of Claremont Boulevard. Recently, their sub-contractor substantially completed their temporary trench work, and until new lines can be installed for their use, CMC has completed resurfacing the section of Sixth Street impacted by this work. The area of Sixth Street restored was from east of Mills Avenue to Claremont Boulevard. This restoration was completed the week of June 24 was done with the 4th of July events starting this Saturday, June 29. With paving operations complete, temporary striping will be in place by June 28 until final operations are allowed to commence. This will ensure Sixth Street is usable for the Freedom 5000 event on June 29.
