Congresswoman McCollum Statement on Biden-Harris Administration historic $200 Million for Minnesota to combat Climate Pollution

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Today, as part of the Biden-Harris Administration's Investing in America agenda, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that the State of Minnesota will receive a $200 million Climate Pollution Reduction Grant. Minnesota is one of 25 grantees, representing the largest investment to date in community-driven solutions that tackle the climate crisis, reduce air pollution, advance environmental justice, and accelerate America's clean energy transition. The Climate Pollution Reduction Grants were created and passed into law by Democratic members of Congress and President Biden in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (P.L. 117-169).

Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN04) released the following statement:

"I am thrilled that Minnesota has been selected as one of twenty-five grantees through EPA's Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program," said Rep. Betty McCollum. "Minnesotans' health and wellbeing will benefit directly through the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's Climate-Smart Food Systems project focusing on food system decarbonization. In total, $4.3 billion in investments from the Biden-Harris Administration will be spread across the country, building national momentum towards achieving our climate resilience goals."
