The Lake Washington Boulevard Renovations Project will improve conditions for all street users through strategic intersection safety enhancements and physical traffic calming measures to deter excessive vehicle speeds. Informed by traffic data analysis, the final design reflects input gathered from residents, stakeholders, and community organizations over the past several months. To learn more about the project's outreach and the final design for the corridor, access the Outreach Summary & Final Design Report for Lake Washington Boulevard.

Thanks to the project being awarded matching funds from the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB)'s Complete Streets Grant, construction is starting this month. The project will be implemented through a phased approach, with the installation of elements in September 2024 and the remaining set of elements planned for spring/summer 2025.

We are sincerely grateful for the community's support and participation throughout this project. It is clear that Lake Washington Boulevard is a place that holds great significance to the community. We are excited to implement improvements that will improve access and enhance safety for all who visit and travel on the boulevard. Visit the Engagement Hub for Lake Washington Boulevard for more information and the anticipated construction schedule.
