Hopeless Records x Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

This past weekend, the independent Van Nuys, CA punk label Hopeless Recordscelebrated its thirtieth anniversary at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Hopeless' official Rock Hall exhibit (the Hall's first dedicated to a modern indie label, and to a label in the new alternative scene) was unveiled, the traveling "Hopeless Museum" of 1,000+ artifacts visited for a special weekend residency, and a mini-festival with Hopeless artists was held outside the Hall's iconic glass pyramid.

Check out photos of the exhibit, the performances (by Illuminati Hotties, Awsten Knight from Waterparks, Dan Campbell from The Wonder Years, and Scene Queen), and a special Hopeless 30th Anniversary Q&A Panel hosted by Alternative Press founder Mike Shea below. Credits for each photo are below the image.

Since it was founded in 1993 as an excuse for founder/CEO Louis Posen to release a seven-inch by the band Guttermouth, Hopeless Records has grown to one of the largest fully-independent record labels in the country, and helped shape the evolution of alternative music for 30 years. Some of its best-known success stories include All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Thrice, and The Used, and a few of its biggest current acts include Neck Deep, The Wonder Years, and Illuminati Hotties, and Gen-Z juggernauts Waterparks, Scene Queen, NOAHFINNCE, and LØLØ.
