Bright Spot: Diwali Festival Lights Up Moulton Union

Members of the South Asian Student Association lit up the night with a party to celebrate Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights.

The celebration brought dinner, dancing, and dozens of students to Main Lounge, Moulton Union, on Saturday, November 9.

Diwali is one of the most popular Hindu festivals, which is also observed by Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists. It's celebrated to offset the darkening season with religious rituals, lights, fireworks, and sweets and symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and goodness over evil.
