Secretary-General of ASEAN to conduct an official working visit to Brunei Darussalam

At the invitation of the Government of Brunei Darussalam, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn will conduct an official working visit to Brunei Darussalam, on 13-15 August 2024, leading an ASEAN Secretariat team consisting of the three pillars of ASEAN Community. During the visit, Dr. Kao will be received, in separate audiences, by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al- Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. Dr. Kao is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Dr. Amin Liew Abdullah, Minister of Health Dato Dr. Isham Jaafar, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Shamhary Pengiran Dato Mustapha, and Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Dr. Abdul Manaf Metussin. To promote ASEAN public diplomacy, Dr. Kao will start his programme of activities by visiting Universiti Brunei Darussalam, where he will deliver a keynote speech on the topic of "Cooperation, Collaboration and the Youth: The Bedrock of Innovation and Sustainability."
