Dr. Hoffman’s “The GPA Strategy” Becomes #1 New Release Among College Guides on Amazon

Dr. John Hoffman, a professor of Biology at Arcadia University published "The GPA Strategy," a two-book college success guide to help students make the most of their college careers. In the weeks following its publication, the Kindle edition of book one, "The GPA Strategy: A College Student's Guide To a Successful Semester," became the #1 new release in the College Guides on Amazon.

"The GPA Strategy: A College Student's Guide To a Successful Semester," redefines GPA as Goals, Plans, and Action before providing a step-by-step guide to help students convert their dreams into actionable goals, create a success plan, and overcome obstacles like time management and study skills.

The second book, "The GPA Strategy Workbook: A Planner for a Successful College Semester," offers Q&A worksheets and a weekly schedule to help prioritize tasks and review progress. It also includes tools for planning exam study strategies, breaking down assignments, and evaluating semester outcomes to improve future performance.

Aside from teaching in Arcadia's Department of Biology, Dr. Hoffman has also served as the University's provost and vice president for Academic Affairs from 2016-18, the founding dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2013-16, associate provost for Accreditation, Assessment, and Research from 2012-13, founding dean of the College of Business, Health & Sciences from 2009-11, and the dean of Graduate Studies from 2008-11.
