Starting from May 2025, the airline will connect Malta International Airport to Bordeaux Airport with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays, offering over 15,400 seats.

Malta, December 3rd, 2024 - Volotea, the airline connecting small and medium-sized European cities, announces its return to Malta with a new route to Bordeaux, France. The new connection will begin service on May 30, 2025, operated exclusively by the Spanish airline twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, with over 15,400 seats available across 86 flights.

Volotea will resume its role in connecting the Maltese islands with Europe in 2025, expanding its network of exclusive routes and providing new travel opportunities for Maltese passengers in the year to come.

Volotea is working towards achieving a more sustainable future in aviation. The airline has committed to reducing direct CO2 emissions per passenger-kilometer by 50% by 2030 (vs 2012) and expects to reach this target between four to five years ahead of schedule.

Volotea, with a projected workforce of approximately 2,100 employees this year, actively boosts connectivity within the territories where it is based while contributing to their economic development and enriching the cultural landscape through impactful sponsorship projects.
