President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Qu Dongyu

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Qu Dongyu.

Welcoming the guests, President Khachaturyan expressed confidence that Qu Dongyu's visit will further deepen cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). "Armenia highly appreciates the long-term cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization, and we are committed to expanding our partnership in key spheres of sustainable development," the President of the Republic said, noting that Armenia pays great attention to green agriculture, digitalization of agriculture and environmentally sustainable product processing.

Qu Dongyu expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that they are ready to make efforts to further expand cooperation with Armenia. In his speech, Qu Dongyu noted that he is very interested in Armenia, the economic model of Armenia and is ready to make efforts to form platforms for the promotion of Armenian products.

The sides attached great importance to the presence of an attractive investment environment, as well as the use of high technologies in various fields of agriculture.

Over the course of the conversation, the sides highly appreciated the cooperation between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Armenia aimed at creating conditions and an appropriate environment for investment and economic development.
