Mesquite to host annual Veterans Day Celebration

The City of Mesquite, in partnership with American Legion Post 504 and VFW Post 8785, will host a Veterans Day event to celebrate the bravery and service of our military heroes.

The Veterans Day Celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Mesquite Veterans Memorial, 425 S. Galloway Ave.

"Our annual Veterans Day celebration is more than a moment of remembrance; it's a powerful reminder of the strength, courage and selflessness of our servicemembers past and present," said Elizabeth Harrell, Director of Parks and Recreation. "All veterans and their families are invited to join us, not only to honor the past but to share in the pride of what you've helped to build for the future. We encourage the community to attend to show their support for these heroes."

This year's Veterans Day program will include remarks by various community leaders and military veterans, ceremonial activities, musical performances and more.
