Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 4th July 2024 - The fully-electric NXT Gen Cup and Hankook are back for another season together: 12 races on the support programme for the DTM, await fans in 2024. The one-make cup is equipped with Hankook tyres. The dynamic driving properties of the premium tyre allow the young drivers to push the "LRT NXT1", based on the Mini John Cooper Works GP, to the limit without any issues, as they battle it out for points and trophies. Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook Director Motorsport: "We are delighted to support the next generation of motorsport stars with our product for the second year in a row. With the NXT Gen Cup, we are supplying another innovative and fully-electric racing series with our Hankook tyres, as well as Formula E, which provide the drivers in this exciting series with plenty of grip and a high level of consistency in all 12 races. We are happy to be working with the NXT Gen Cup again this season, as together we are driving the development of e-mobility."

Diverse calendar with four events in Germany

The NXT Gen Cup kicks off the new season alongside the DTM at the Norisring from 5th to 7th July. The drivers will tackle four races at the street circuit known as the Franconian Monaco. The narrow and winding track in Nuremberg is a highlight of the DTM calendar and the perfect venue for the thrilling races in the electric one-make cup. Next up, from 16th to 18th August, is the legendary Nürburgring, where spectators witnessed spectacular battles between the fully-electric race cars last year. The Sachsenring, roughly 100 kilometres from Dresden, hosts the second double-header of the season from 6th to 8th September. The series reaches its conclusion together with the DTM at the Hockenheimring from 18th to 20th October, when the champion will be crowned after twelve thrilling races.
