Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes New Attorneys and Legal Professionals

Barnes & Thornburg has added corporate, litigation, labor and employment, and intellectual property attorneys and legal professionals to its Chicago, Dallas, Indianapolis and San Diego offices.

Henry Doran, an associate in the San Diego office, advises clients on transactional matters and corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, spinoffs and joint ventures. He has experience advising clients in a variety of complex and fast-paced transactions, including multibillion-dollar M&A deals, early stage company financings, and corporate restructurings. He earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2021 and his B.A. from Columbia University in 2018.

An associate in the Indianapolis office, Otto Frenzel advises companies and their shareholders on a range of corporate matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He works to develop a deep understanding of his clients' business and provide actionable counsel with a view to further their M&A and transactional objectives. Otto earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2020 and his B.S. from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in 2017.

Joseph Gergel, an associate in the Dallas office, is familiar with virtually all aspects of pre-trial, trial, and post-trial practice. He has experience conducting in-depth research and drafting critical motions over a wide array of civil matters - both procedurally and substantively. Joseph earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 2023 and his B.S. from Eastern New Mexico University in 2020.

An of counsel in the Chicago office, Ning He represents public companies and their officers, directors, and board committees, as well as financial industry clients and those providing services to those businesses, in connection with regulatory enforcement investigations and examinations and litigation disputes. She earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 2015 and her B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College in 2012.

Rachel Roney, an associate in the Dallas office, assists clients both with and without bargaining units on virtually all facets of traditional labor law. She guides clients through National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) processes and helps them to foster and strengthen positive employee relations through interactive training. Rachel earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2020 and her B.A. from Bradley University in 2017.

A paralegal in the Chicago office, Katelin Sokolowski prepares U.S. and foreign patent filings and prosecution, patent status reports and patent searches, and maintains patent portfolios. She has experience monitoring deadlines, managing high-volume document production and overseeing the logistical and timely administration of client matters. Katelin earned her B.A. from The Ohio State University in 2020.

Alexa Zambory, an associate in the Indianapolis office, leverages her business skills and industry knowledge to assist her clients in making immigration processes and procedures as seamless as possible. She helps clients obtain both non-immigrant and immigrant visas and regularly works on temporary or non-immigrant matters. Alexa earned her J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2023 and her B.S. from Indiana University-Indianapolis in 2018.
