Man Shot in Capitol Hill Neighborhood

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting in Capitol Hill neighborhood that left one male deceased.

Shortly before 8:30 am., 911 Dispatch (CARE) received a report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of 17th Avenue.

Police arrived and found 58-year-old man in the hallway suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. Seattle Fire Department arrived and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Seattle Police Department K9 Unit initiated a track, but no suspect was located.

Homicide Unit detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

No suspect has been identified.
