Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

July 22 - 28, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area July 22 - 28, 2024. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.

Boone County

Missouri Route 124 and Route B - Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Missouri Route 163 (Providence Road) - Resurfacing continues from Route K/Old Plank Road north to Interstate 70. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

U.S. Route 63 - Resurfacing continues from Missouri Route 763 (Range Line Street) to Route B. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Route M - ADA improvements continue between Chico Drive and Main Street in Ashland. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

I-70 - Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Callaway County

Route A - Culvert replacement planned July 22. The road will be CLOSED 500 feet north of Route B from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists must use an alternate route.

Missouri Route 94/U.S. Route 63 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 54. One lane of each overpass bridge will remain open. Northbound Route 94 access is CLOSED at the overpass bridge and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

U.S. Route 63 - Ramp from northbound U.S. Route 63 to westbound U.S. Route 54 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024.

U.S. Route 54 - Ramp from westbound U.S. Route 54 to eastbound Route 94 CLOSED for a bridge rehabilitation project through September 2024.

Old Jefferson Road - Intersection improvements continue at U.S. Route 54 crossover. The crossover is CLOSED and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-70 - New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity

Camden County

Route Z - Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Route BB - Resurfacing continues from Route 7 to Missouri Route 5 in Laclede County. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route T - Resurfacing planned to begin July 22. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Missouri Route7 - Pavement marking and guardrail work planned from Route AA to U.S. Route 65 in Benton County. Pavement marking will be a moving operation. Guardrail work in Edwards (Benton County) will require the use of temporary signals to direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.

Cole County

U.S. Route 54 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over U.S. Route 50 and McCarty Street in Jefferson City. U.S. Route 54 will remain open but will narrow to one lane in each direction between south of the Missouri River and Business Route 50 (Missouri Boulevard) for up to 90 calendar days. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2024.

Cooper County

Route O - Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Moniteau Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-70 - Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Crawford County

Route D - Bridge maintenance planned July 22 - 23 from Genevieve to Christland Drive in Sullivan. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 19 - Pavement repair continues July 22 - 25 from Winn Road to the city limits of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Shoulder work planned July 22 - 25 from Mill Springs Drive to Seven Cedars Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route JJ - Culvert replacement planned at Railroad Street in Bourbon July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route M - Shoulder work continues July 22 - 25 from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

Routes O and P- Shoulder work planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route U - Roadside work planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes VV and YY - Seal coating planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

Route H - Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Interstate 44 overpass. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route HH - Bridge deck replacement continues at the Dry Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route 19 - Bridge rehabilitation continues at the I-44 overpass. One lane will remain open. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

I-44 - Resurfacing continues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open. The project, which includes resurfacing, is scheduled for completion in November 2024

Gasconade County

Routes KK and OO - Pothole patching planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 28 - Guardrail work continues from Owensville to Belle in Maries County. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Route 19 - Bridge replacement continues at Frene Creek in Hermann. The road is CLOSED to all traffic with a signed detour directing motorists around the closure. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Missouri Route 100 - Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 in Osage County to Route N. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Route Z - Resurfacing planned to begin July 26 from Route 19 to the Franklin County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2024.

Howard County

Routes AA and T - Pothole patching planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Route 5 - ADA improvements continue in the city of Fayette. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Route P - Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Bonne Femme Creek Bridge in New Franklin. The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Laclede County

I-44 - Bridge maintenance planned overnight July 21 - 25:

  • Eastbound at mile marker 143, July 21 - 23, 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly
  • Westbound at mile marker 143, July 23 - 24, 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Eastbound at mile marker 139.2, July 24 - 25, 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

I-44 - Ramp maintenance will CLOSE the off-ramps at Exit 140 (Routes N/T, Stoutland):

  • July 22, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - the eastbound off-ramp will be CLOSED.
  • July 23, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - the westbound off-ramp will be

During these ramp closures, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

Route BB - Resurfacing continues from Route 7 in Camden County to Route 5. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route F - Resurfacing continues from Route BB to I-44. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route T - Resurfacing planned to begin July 22. One lane will remain open, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Missouri Route 64 - Bridge replacement continues at the Goodwin Hollow Creek Bridge. The road is CLOSED to all traffic. A signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.

Maries County

Routes 42, AA, and H - Pothole patching planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Route 28 - Guardrail work continues from Owensville in Gasconade County to Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Miller County

Route OO - Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Moniteau County

Route C - Roadside work planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Morgan County

Route DD - Culvert replacement planned July 22, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The road will be CLOSED from Ehlers Road to Route KK. Motorists should use an alternate route.

Missouri Route 135 - Culvert replacement planned July 23 between Cottonwood Road and Coon Club Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes D, T, AA, MM, OO, WW - Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Missouri Route 52 - Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Osage County

Route B - Resurfacing planned in the town of Meta July 22 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place.

Routes KK and OO - Pothole patching planned July 22 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 100 - Resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 50 to Route N in Gasconade County. One lane will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Route FFand K- Resurfacing scheduled to begin July 24. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

Phelps County

I-44 - eastbound on- and off- ramps at Exit 189 (Route V) CLOSED nightly July 18 - 24 for shoulder work, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

I-44 - Eastbound off-ramp at Exit 195 (St. James, to Route 68/8) CLOSED nightly July 18 - 24 for shoulder work, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

U.S. Route 63 - Ramp to eastbound I-44 in Rolla CLOSED nightly July 18 - 24 for shoulder work, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Route P - Pavement repair planned July 24 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route W - Pavement repair planned July 24 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-44 - Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.

Pulaski County

Business Loop 44 - Bridge rehabilitation continues over I-44. Crossover construction is scheduled as night work, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Following crossover construction, traffic will shift to a head-to-head configuration and daytime work to rehabilitate the bridges. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.

Washington County

Route C - Seal coating planned July 22 - 25 from Route Y to Missouri Route 21. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route W - Road resurfacing planned July 23 - 25. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route A - Bridge replacement continues at the Richwoods Creek Bridge.The road is CLOSED to all traffic and motorists will need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
