Contact: Public Affairs • 561-355-2754

Residents of Palm Beach County can now request temporary roof protection for qualifying roofs damaged by tornadoes associated with the passing of Hurricane Milton. Operation Blue Roof is a priority mission managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The purpose of Operation Blue Roof is to provide homeowners and permanently occupied rental properties in disaster areas with fiber-reinforced sheeting to cover their damaged roofs until arrangements can be made for permanent repairs. This is a free service to homeowners. Operation Blue Roof protects property, reduces temporary housing costs, and allows residents to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm.

Visit Operation Blue Roof or call 888-ROOF-BLU (888-766-3258).

There are no costs associated with the Blue Roof program. Please contact the FEMA Disaster Fraud Hotline at 1-866-720-5721 if someone is attempting to charge for Operation Blue Roof services.

Individuals and business owners who sustained losses in the designated areas can begin applying for federal assistance by registering online at DisasterAssistance.gov, calling 1-800-621- 3362, or using the FEMA App.
