ADL 234279 Matanuska Electric Assoc. Public Utility Easement Point MacKenzie Correctional Farm
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has received an application for the following public utility easement:
APPLICANT: Matanuska Electric Association
PROJECT NAME: ADL 234279
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Point MacKenzie Correctional Farm
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 1 of Township 15 North, Range 5 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant has requested an approval of a public utility easement over state-owned, DMLW managed lands approximately 17 feet in length, 30 feet wide, for a total of 0.012 acres, more or less. The purpose of the proposed easement is to install an underground primary cable and a pad mounted transformer.
The easement, if approved, may differ from that described herein.
REQUESTED TERM: Indefinite
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: September 30, 2024
Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made. To ensure consideration, comments must be submitted in writing and received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 West 7th Avenue, Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK, 99501 on or before the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
