The Next-Generation Firewall You’ve Been Looking For

Wherever you are in your growth as an IT products and services provider, you want to provide your customers with the best possible next generation firewall (NGFW) solution possible. Exactly what you want to provide depends, in part, upon exactly where you are in your journey:

  • If you're a reseller, you typically sell services delivered by a partner. You want an NGFW solution that does it all.
  • If you're a managed service provider (MSP), you want a product and service that complements your own capabilities, which may not necessarily focus on security.
  • If you're a managed security services provider, you want a product that gives you the choice of how much service you want to deliver yourself.

It also depends upon your customer! Are they a small or medium business? Do they have several remote offices, or small-office/home-office (SOHO) users? Are they using devices attached to the internet of things? If so, they very likely don't have resources to manage local firewalls.

The New SonicWall TZ80 - One Solution to Rule Them All

These users will have several questions about your firewall solution:

"How big is it? I don't have much room!"

The SonicWall TZ80 SOHO firewall is 200.3 mm x 113.6 mm x 30.2 mm in size. It weighs 0.438 kg. Fits almost anywhere.

"How powerful and efficient is it?"

The SonicWall TZ80 delivers 750 Mbps of threat prevention, application inspection, intrusion prevention, anti-malware throughput, IPSEC VPN, and 250 Mbps of TLS/SSL Inspection & Encryption

"How many ports does it have?"

SonicWall TZ80 offers 5 ports (4x1G Ethernet + 1 x SFP)

Who's going to manage it?

This is probably the most important question of all. In a small office, or a home office, or in most small to medium businesses it is unlikely that anyone is on staff who can manage a firewall. This has always been a significant challenge for these customers.

SonicWall resolves this question with the Managed Protection Security Service (MPSS) which is a cloud-delivered service subscription that adds SonicWall Managed Security Services to the TZ80. Cloud Management is included in all SonicWall subscription plans, including Secure Connect, MPSS, and the Application Security Service Suite (APSS).

VARs will sell this bundle to their customers, knowing the customer experience will be excellent thanks to SonicWall's multi-decade reputation for product and services excellence.

MSPs may sell this bundle as part of their own larger, more comprehensive network services program, or they may choose to sell it simply as a line item.

MSSPs will appreciate the ability to add this service to their own Network Operations Center (NOC) services.

All SonicWall Partners will enjoy the flexibility to apply the TZ80 and MPSS as they see fit.

Solving the Problem

The TZ80/MPSS bundle solves the most prevalent problem faced by anyone selling NGFW solutions to SMB companies. Who's going to monitor and manage the firewall?

We are!

SonicWall Partners may prefer not to identify us as the provider of the actual solution, bundling it along with their other services. Or they may want to leverage SonicWall's legendary brand recognition and reliability. Whether a VAR, MSP, MSSP, or DMR, those choices are all yours.

Once again, SonicWall defines the word "partner" in the way most desired by you! To learn more about TZ80 and the MPSS, contact your SonicWall representative.
