Tenaya Way Roadwork Begins July 22
Between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard

Lane Restrictions Will Be In Place July 22-Sept. 27

Starting Monday, July 22, and continuing through Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, Tenaya Way will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard for roadwork. Primary work activities will include installation of traffic signal loop detectors, milling, paving, raising of utilities and installation of delineation. Work hours will be approximately 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Lane restrictions will remain in place 24 hours/day. Milling and paving operations will begin July 22 and will take approximately one week, subject to weather and equipment availability.

Buffalo Drive or Rainbow Boulevard are recommended as alternate routes for north- and southbound traffic.

Preliminary work was completed, consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter.

Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $1.6 million, funded by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax. Residents with questions or concerns can call 702.353.4294.
