101 and counting: IRU New Industry Shapers project hits major milestone

Truck driving powerhouse couple Eyüp and Vildan Özdemir became the 100^th and 101^st inspiring road transport professionals to join the IRU New Industry Shapers project.

The New Industry Shapers project was launched in May 2023 to mark IRU's 75th anniversary.

The project features a wide range of professionals, from mobility and logistics operators, associations and suppliers, as well as drivers, researchers and public sector innovators from all corners of the globe. It aims to inspire future generations and showcase the sector's role in making the world a better, more inclusive, more prosperous and greener place.

There are now 101 IRU New Industry Shapers.

Eyüp and Vildan Özdemir, truck drivers from Türkiye, are the latest shapers to join the project.

The New Industry Shapers project features shapers from over 40 countries thriving in a wide range of road transport positions, including as drivers, engineers, CEOs, fleet managers, driver-operators, safety specialists, researchers and trainers.
