Town of East Hampton - Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course Irrigation Improvements

Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course Irrigation Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to replace the entire existing irrigation system at Montauk Downs State Park. This will involve abandoning existing irrigation piping in-place and installing new irrigation piping; renovating the existing pump house and replacing the intake piping at the main pond; replacing transfer piping; repairing, replacing, and/or expanding cart paths; improving storm drainage; and replacing retaining walls. Ground disturbance will be limited to the existing disturbed area with no removal of natural vegetation. The project is located at 50 South Fairview Avenue in Montauk, Town of East Hampton, New York.
